Budged a schedule
After first contact with client, I set price and payment conditions for range of work with accurate specification on each part of project including terms of delivery. Upon receiving the initial deposit I will secure project into my schedule and I get started. On average I spent up to one month working on project, 1 - 2 weeks to bring several strong concepts and 1 - 2 weeks to work on revisions, refinement, stationery design, etc.
Brief
Initial accumulation of information from the client is very first and one of most important steps in whole process. By a face to face interview or skype chat I need to understand client very thoroughly before I get started. I can send client questionnaire that can provide him step by step through number of question to put together good brief.
Research
Research includes general reading on the industry, history and on its competitors. I hit hard Google and spent hours reading and exploring. I conduct research into brands or logo designs that have been successful and current styles and trends that are related to the design brief.
Conceptualising
Developing the logo design concept is where creativity comes into play. I start using the design brief and the research conducted. For sketching I entirely use pencil and paper.
Reflection
This lets my ideas mature and for me get renewed insight and enthusiasm. In this stage I am getting feedback and make personal decision about design direction.
Presentation
This is where I present work to the client. I don't present huge variety of logo design concepts, but showcase just one to three well-developed logo designs or concepts. I include in each presentation in depth specification of concept background and characteristics with several photo visualisations on how logo design work in real applications.
Execution
After approval of concept by client I continue working on design. Based on clients feedback I work on revisions and polishing details of design until I bring out perfect result.
Delivery
On receipt of the final invoice I deliver digital files created in vectors and bitmaps with additional versions and variations previously agreed as well as logo usage guidelines to the client. Consultation during the project as well as after, support on implementation of logo design into web, social media avatars, computer icons, favicon or stationery is standard part of each project. Logo design guidelines are usually provided as a 1-5 page PDF document. I deliver data of final logo design in color profile RGB - digital use and CMYK / PANTONEĀ® - for use on printed materials. Logo is delivered in positive and negative version and in black and white and full colour palette.
"Since I have launched this project every single person I share my business card or website with, compliments on the logo concept."
